It’s about time another celeb got into the book club game. Mark Zuckerberg just happens to be the man who answered the call, according to TIME on Sunday. After 2014’s resolution to learn Mandarin, this year Zuckerberg has declared he will read more. He’s not talking just one book per month. Oh no, he’s operating at the steady click of one book every two weeks. Hope you new members have plenty of weekends free.

Zuckerberg made his announcement, of course, through Facebook, saying his goal for the year was to keep reading, putting an “emphasis on learning about different cultures, beliefs histories and technologies.” He noted that he polled Facebook earlier to get help on what his goal for the year should be. With input from 50,000 Facebookers, Zuckerberg finally landed on his challenge, which is sort of a mesh of several suggestions given by those commenting on his post.

He noted, “Books allow you to fully explore a topic and immerse yourself in a deeper way than most media today. I'm looking forward to shifting more of my media diet towards reading books.”

But the man who created the largest online community didn’t simply stop at the announcement. He invited everyone to join in. He’ll conduct his resolution and post his feedback on his “A Year of Books” Facebook page .To kick off the first two weeks in January, he selected “The End of Power” by Moisés Naim. According to him, it is a book about shifting power, and details how individual people now have the power that used to belong to large governments and organizations. There’s no starting slow for The Zuck, or perhaps this is his slow.

So far, 155,582 have liked the “A Year of Books” Facebook page, and the book discussion began as soon as Zuckerberg made the announcement. According to Wired, “The End of Power” has already sold out on Amazon, an outcome resembling “The Oprah effect” that took place when her book club was still in operation.
