Android Wear 5.0.2 (Google's Android operating system adapted for wearable devices, specifically smartwatches) began to roll out to LG G Watch R, Motorola Moto 360, Samsung Gear Live owners yesterday; other devices should receive the update sometime in the near future, as well. Unfortunately, the update does not bring much to the table in terms of new features. It does, however, update Google Play Services to address a Google Fit sync issue experienced by many smartwatch owners, and implement other various bug fixes and optimizations. The update is being pushed directly to device owners; after the notification to update is received, pressing "Download" will initiate the update. For those who may be feeling a little eager to update, it is possible to check if your software is ready to update by checking "System Updates" in the device settings. As always, it is recommended the device must be charged to at least 80% of its battery life for a successful update.
