Right about now, Nikola Tesla is doing one of two things up in heaven; relaxing on his laurels or violently tossing and turning in his grave. It his namesake, Tesla Motors , that has been a pioneer in the ALL electric car market.
It is 2015, entre rumors out of Cupertino, that Apple, Tim Cook et al are in it to win it now. Will it be the apple car, iMobile or even iMove?
According to the Wall Street Journal , there are well over 100 employees on a project that is possibly named “Titan”.
“The Cupertino, Calif., company has several hundred employees working secretly toward creating an Apple-branded electric vehicle, according to people familiar with the matter. The project, code-named “Titan,” initially is working on the design of a vehicle that resembles a minivan, one of the people said.” Furthermore, it was also stated that “….Last year, Apple hired Marc Newson, a famous industrial designer and close friend of the company’s design guru, Jony Ive. In the past, Mr. Newson created a concept car for Ford Motor Co….” All that is seemingly pointing to the possibility of a new all electric car coming from the tech giant.
Tesla, as many people know, is credited with working on projects with Thomas A. Edison, as well as induction motors, Rotating magnetic fields, obviously the Tesla coil Radio and a remote control vehicle . There were even some arguments that he stole Edisons’ work while others argue he developed the technology.
Either way, this is not about him, but rather Apple. This like the iPhone has the capability of being the next “Best” thing out of Apple. Are you ready for the ride ?? Android owner will just have to wait till their manufactures catch up.
