Amazon has today updated the app offerings on its Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, which includes the award-winning Sling TV.
With the launch of Sling TV on the platforms, the $20 per month app, which lets users stream live sports and entertainment from channels like ESPN, TBS and more, can get a Fire TV Stick for free with the purchase of a 3-month service plan (Sling TV), or a $50 discount on Fire TV through http://ift.tt/1Dlkc3a .
In addition, Amazon has also added apps such as Fox Sports Go, TED, WSJ Live, Crossy Road and Game of Thrones - A Telltale Game Series.
“The growth of apps and games available on Amazon Fire TV has been tremendous since launch—selection is up 5x since April, and many popular titles such as FOX Sports GO and Flappy Birds Family have launched exclusively on the Fire TV platform,” said Steve Rabuchin, Vice President Amazon Appstore. “We’re especially excited to be one of the first platforms to launch the Sling TV app—we think Fire TV and Fire TV Stick customers are going to love it.”
Devolver Digital will bring six more games exclusively to Fire TV devices in the coming months including Gods Will Be Watching, Not a Hero, and Titan Souls. The publisher has recently launched Luftrausers, Always Sometimes Monsters and OlliOlli to Fire TV.
Amazon also announced that from now until February 14, the Amazon Appstore is offering an app bundle, with up to $140 in top paid apps and games, for free.
