An iPhone 6 fingerprint feature could be the next innovation for Apple's popular smartphone. The latest reports indicate that the new gadget, which may be called iPhone 5s, is going to launch in June or July of this year.
A report from The New Age on Jan. 21 discusses the latest rumor for Apple's device. The fact that the iPhone is currently facing competition from Samsung and the S3 devices, means it's time to step up their smartphone game. New Age reports:
"According to HuffingtonPost, GI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has correctly predicted Apple product launches in the past and has revealed that he expects Apple’s next iPhone, dubbed iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S, to have a fingerprint sensor built in to the home button."
A report on Jan. 16 from MacWorld UK revealed the potential 2013 release for the new phone in either June or July. Other changes that could be coming with the newest iteration of the device include more color choices. Some analysts speculate that the smartphone could be available in six to eight different color options when it hits the market. Right now, analysts are predicting there will be "preliminary builds of the device in March."
Along with rumors of a cheaper iPhone, it could be another big year for Apple, or they may be losing ground to their competitors. Do you think the iPhone 6 fingerprint sensor would help them rise up above the competition?
