Have you noticed your Facebook, Twitter and all social media sites have been red and pink all over? Huffington Post reported on March 26, 2013, that so many people changed their social media pics to support gay marriage. The red logo with a pink equal sign was created by the Human Rights Campaign, an advocacy group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals. They took their normally blue and yellow logo and changed it up to rally online support for today's Supreme Court begins hearings on gay marriage.


Mashable said actor George Takei, from Star Trek fame, kicked the viral campaign into high gear when he updated his Facebook book photo with the logo. LGBTQ@Facebook , the social network's official resource page, also changed its picture to the HRC's, and shared a story about the advocacy group's push.
