Massachusetts State Police finally arrested a convicted rapist named Gary Alan Irving last night in Gorham, Maine, reports Boston on March 28, 2013.
He left Massachusetts in 1979 and his name appeared on the Massachusetts State Police Most Wanted list for last 34 years.
Reportedly he began a new life with a fake name and lived with a wife, two children, and a granddaughter.
Spokesman David Procopio told that the 52-year-old has been accused of raping three young women in the summer of 1978, in his South Street home at around 9:15 p.m.
Irving had hid two shotguns, six rifles, and a handgun in his home. Procopio reported that the police have acquired all of the arms and federal gun charges will be levied upon Irving for possessing them.
Interestingly, Irving’s wife said she didn’t know anything about her husband.
On investigations it was found that Irving had changed his name to ‘Gregg Irving’. He is known to have worked at a local phone company for around 20 years.
