Five people were killed and 17 others injured after a van carrying 22 people rolled over and crashed in southern Arizona reports The Inquisitr on April 21, 2013.
The van was being chased by Border Patrol agents.
Metro Fire official Willie Treatch said, the incident took place at 11:00 p.m. Saturday in between Tucson and Benson, Ariz.
Five people were pronounced dead on the spot, seven were flown to area hospitals and ten persons were shifted to hospitals in ambulances.
The condition of the 17 injured patients is still unknown.
The Border patrol officials were not available for comments. The reason why the Border patrol was pursuing the van carrying 22 people is still unknown either.
More details about the accident are expected to be available next week.
