The Los Angeles Times reported on April 17, 2013, that Fox channel pulled out an episode of the animated comedy 'Family Guy' from their websites.

'Turban Cowboy' episode aired in mid-March was taken down from the websites Fox.com and Hulu after some scenes were combined to make a video on YouTube that resembled the Boston Marathon bombings.

The altered scenes were showing the cartoon’s character running over athletes with his car and using a mobile phone inadvertently setting off blasts to win the race.

Seth MacFarlane, the show’s creator tweeted in a Twitter post that the clip currently circulating is abhorrent.

He said that the event was a crime and a tragedy, and his thoughts are with the victims. Fox Network declined to make any additional comment.

This is not the first time as TV networks and Hollywood movie studios are often altering their schedules to avoid airing sensitive material following tragedies or natural disasters.

The site of explosion is being scanned by authorities. The two blasts on April 15 near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed three persons and injured more than 170.
