Fox 4 Live Breaking News coverage mentioned Zooey Deschanel as one of the potential suspects of Boston Marathon bombing, reports the Inquisitr on April 21, 2013.
Those who were watching this coverage of Friday's manhunt in Boston on Dallas-Fort Worth's Fox affiliate would have been shocked to see the Fox’s closed-captioning naming the actress as the suspect.
The caption read “Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel.” Even before this blunder, various news anchors of the network mispronounced the name “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev”.
It was reported earlier that the real Boston bombing suspect suffers from a throat injury preventing him from speaking. Regardless of the Zooey Deschanel caption, the actress has not been involved in any sort of bombing.
The actress laughed at the incident and posted on her Twitter account: “Whoa! Epic closed captioning fail!”
Deschanel’s wardrobe malfunction is a matter of concern for her. It occurred when her co-stars were throwing football around the set, her shirt got unbuttoned in front of the members at the set.
What is happening to the media? Are they going crazy? Do they need a break?
