The Yahoo News reported on May 3, 2013, that the Opa-Locka Police Department in Florida filed a case before an arbitrator Jeanne Wood stating that Sgt. German Bosque should be fired.
Bosque is reported to have left a city-owned, 30-round AR-15 assault rifle with a friend whom he mentions as the father of his then-girlfriend and now fiancé.
According to WFOR CBS4, Miami Bosque is a highly disciplined, ticketed, terminated, nabbed police officer in the state.
Three departments in Florida had fired him eight times. It is reported that Opa-locka failed in its six former attempts to terminate Bosque.
Among the charges levied upon Bosque, the most prominent ones include busting the skull of a cuffed suspect, whacking juveniles, taking drugs in a squad car, manipulating reports, carrying on an wildcat car chase where four people were killed and calling in sick…from Cancun.
Quoting Bosque’s union-provided attorney, Andrew Axelrad, the Yahoo News mentioned, “It’s allegations. Allegations are not convictions.
As to Bosque's alleged carelessness with his police-issued rifle, Axelrad said the weapon was safe with the man Bosque calls “Daddy,” who is a licensed security guard. Anyone can legally purchase this weapon.”
