The Yahoo News reported on May 27, 2013, that a California man shot his two adult daughters on Monday and then committed suicide.
According to the authorities, one of the daughters is dead while other lay critically injured. Three grandchildren of this 63-year-old man were present in the home at the time of the incident.
The 8-year-old girl made an emergency call to report gunfire before dawn. The Tulare County Sheriff's Department state that when the officials reached, they found the murderer Anthony Alvarez dead.
The dead woman was identified as 37-year-old Jennifer Kimble, daughter of Alvarez. Her body showed multiple gunshot wounds.
She was the mother of the three children including boys aged 11 and 13 and the 8-year-old girl. Her 33-year-old sister Valerie Alvarez had one gunshot wound. She was immediately escorted to a Fresno hospital.
No information has been revealed about the possible motive of the murders. The authorities handed over the children to their father who was at work at the time of the incident.
Quoting spokeswoman Sgt. Chris Douglass, the USA Today mentioned, "It's a very cut-and-dried case."
