Seems the Mars Curiosity Rover has been a busy little six-wheeled fellow these past few weeks. Here's a roundup of news related to the rover, from top Technorati listed science blogs...

From ArsTechnica - Curiosity rover shoots video of Martian moonrise - NASA released a time-lapse video of the Martian moon Phobos, as it ascends into view.

From GizMag - Curiosity begins long trek to uncover Red Planet's secrets - the rover has begun a multi-month journey to Mount Sharp, where it will dig in to find signs of past life. During its travel time, it will likely celebrate it's first year anniversary of being on the red planet's surface.

From The Huffington Post - Mars Water? Curiosity Rover Finds Pebbles On Red Planet's Surface Likely Shaped By Ancient River - this report from last month shows a unique geologic feature found by the Curiosity Rover, indicating the real possibility that it was formed by ancient rivers flowing on Mars' surface.

From Engadget - NASA makes billion-pixel Mars panorama out of photos captured by Curiosity - NASA stitched together almost 900 images to create a 1.3 billion pixel landscape panorama of the Mars surface, as taken by the Mars Curiosity Rover. You can see Mount Sharp, the rover's next destination, in the distance.

Also from GizMag - NASA reports that Curiosity's successor to launch in 2020 - in just over six short years, we can expect to see yet another spine-tingling Mars landing, followed by a new rover with enhanced search and analyzation capabilities. This rover is slated to not only find signs of life past and present, but to also send back samples to Earth.

Does the Curiosity Rover still hold your attention, as it continues to send back images and information from our distant planetary neighbor?
