The USA Today reported on August 21, 2013, that the rise of the Blue Moon Tuesday at 7:27 p.m . in the sky over Washington during the “blue hour” captivated onlookers.

The blue hour is photogenic because of the perfect blend of artificial and natural light. However, the Blue Moon heightens the feel by evoking romantic fervor.

Reportedly, it is the last Blue Moon that people will be able to see until 2015. It will be visible till Wednesday morning. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) revealed that Blue Moon appears in triennial.

The Blue Moon is not blue in color; however, it is a phrasal description for a rare second full moon in a month. This phenomenon has been an inspiration for so many romantic melodies and famous phrases.

The social network sites buzzed with photographs of the pristine moon shared by several photographers. People enjoyed by sharing jokes and video of 1961's "Blue Moon" by The Marcels on twitter.

This moon is referred by several names such as the Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon (because at this time crops grow tall), Full Sturgeon Moon (as the sturgeon specie of fishes is easy to hunt at this time of the year), or Full Red Moon (due to the reddish color of the moon).
