This "Internet Deals Examiner" loves Amazon, especially keeping track of any new deals the online retailer provides its customers. So much so that I have a Google Alert called "promotional code" set up to alert me to new pages being set up by Amazon.com surrounding the topic. That's how I discover this new page titled "Apply a Gift Card or Promotional Code from Your Android Device" on Amazon , emailed to me by my Google Alerts in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 1:50 AM -- 9 hours ago, says my helpful Gmail parenthetical status.
The page offers help to Android device users in applying a gift card or promo code to their accounts directly from their devices. It's a helpful thing, no doubt, seeing as though this Amazon Associates user -- a program that pays a portion of referral fees on customer purchases to those of us who've been provide special tracking links after getting approved for the program -- has seen some "mobile" labels in her account, compared to those folks who buy products via the "desktop" label displayed in my Amazon Associates account.
Obviously people love the convenience of spotting a product via their tablets or cell phones on Amazon and buying it right then and there, without having to wait to get to their laptops or PCs to buy what they want. And if they've got a gift card or promotional code to use, they want to be able to apply it via their Droid phones before buying, in order to get the discounts they want.
So while my Google Alerts hasn't tipped me off yet to any new promo codes today, Saturday, September 7, 2013, stayed tuned and subscribe above to get emails for when they do. In the meantime, here's how to apply codes via your Droid phone:
You can apply an Amazon.com Gift Card or promotional code to your account directly from your Android device.
To apply a gift card or promotional code from your Android device:
1 - Launch Amazon Appstore for Android from your compatible device.
2 - From the Amazon Appstore for Android App, tap Menu, then Settings, and then tap Gift Cards.
3 - Enter your claim code and tap Redeem.
