Recent studies being conducted by several news organizations are now finding that more and more college graduates are moving towards freelance immediately after graduation in record numbers, choosing to skip working for “brick and mortar” companies altogether. A recent article published on Friday by the Huffington Post states that college graduates are not all that impressed with the current professional economic market ahead.

This is leading many to head straight into freelance, taking hold of their own futures by building a solid foundation in the freelancing world immediately upon graduation. “Freelancers will find less financial uncertainty and more stability ahead”, reports Kathryn Sollman.

As the next generation of degreed professionals consistently watches the actions of the larger corporations, the insecurity of the American worker, the increasing rise in the cost of healthcare, the disastrous implementation of the Obamacare website, and the years-long inability of the current administration to finalize any sort of future economic plan with Congress, more graduates are choosing to take matters into their own hands.

Voice of America is now reporting that as many as 1 in 3 American citizens are now in some way involved with freelance employment, at least part time. And Harvard Business Review is calling online freelancing the fastest-growing area of the job market in the United States today.

This is nothing new to freelancing websites, like Fiverr and Elance. Fiverr may be the “new kid on the block”, but after three years, they have millions of various freelance professionals offering services from $5 to $500. And Fiverr stays current with the local changes-to-demand in the online community.

When Google announced their Hummingbird upgrades just last month, Fiverr Sellers reacted immediately. Hummingbird freelance writers, link experts , and SEO Consultants immediately began offering new services to replace the older, recently outdated strategies of internet marketing that were only 30 days ago considered standard operating procedure.

Expect more great things from Fiverr to come. This is a Freelance Website that first began the “Gig Economy”. Fiverr estimates that as much as 15% of their Freelance community is now earning a full time income from their website. With a power-base like this that is only expected to consistently grow in the immediate future, Fiverr is expected to keep offering more incentives to freelancers in an effort to keep their millions of buyers happy.
