It’s pretty interesting to this Internet Deals Examiner journalist to witness other writers proving their mettle by pulling out hot, hard numbers that give readers a big peek behind the curtain of their personal finances by listing their actual income numbers online.

That’s what Russ Johnson has done in his latest book, titled Get Paid to Speak .

The new Kindle edition book tells the journey of how Johnson didn’t settle for being an instructor making $20 per hour, bemoaning his situation – but instead, he embarked upon a campaign to soak up all the knowledge he could about how to become a great speaker, one that would end up being a well-paid one to boot.

Of course, the quest began with free speaking engagements wherever he could get them: at church, high school assemblies, you name it. But putting on a dynamic presentation got Johnson invited back time and time again, with dollar signs now in the place of the zeros that once accompanied the pro-bono, experiencing-gaining gigs.

The new book is practical in that it lists the actual websites would-be speakers can visit to find speaking jobs, along with plenty of step-by-step data that teaches how to prepare to deliver unforgettable speaking or training sessions that don’t put audiences to sleep – but instead engages them to the highest levels of learning and creates subject matter retention.

In this day and age when it’s common to speak about how undervalued many beloved teachers have become, it’s great to see one taking the bull by the horns and creating a second life for all that useful wisdom, refusing to let it go to waste.
