In the world of the world wide web, hoaxes are never new. The Internet is in fact flush with fake stuff that are uploaded to generate the curiosity element.

Targets mostly tend to be celebrities, and this latest of the lot isn’t different either.

Going by a Webpronews report on November 8, the internet scamsters have turned their wicked attention on none other than Nashville star Kimberly Williams-Paisley and husband Brad Paisley.

The new hoax may be termed as truly wicked as it plays with the couple’s emotions by sending a letter from a child dying with cancer.

The hoax happened last year, and that has worried Kimberly and Paisley so much that they have decided to bring the whole episode in front of the public eye.

The hoax happened in September last year when an email was sent to Kimberly. The email content said that it would be great if Kimberly could connect with a woman’s 8-year-old daughter who was dying from neuroblastoma, a type of cancer.

The email further said that the family wasn’t keen on money from the celebrity couple. All the mail wanted was to spur Kimberly to meet the ‘dying‘ young girl, who was a big fan of the star. Sadly, it turned out to be a hoax.
