YouTube rolled out a new commenting system yesterday, and users are at once confused and ticked off. On Thursday, Nov. 7th, prominent YouTubers began discussing the change.

The comment systems has always been an issue YouTube users can agree. Now this new system may be have solved those problems, or created more. Weezy Waiter advised his audience to embrace change, because change in the platform is inevitable and may not be horrible.

Many YouTubers like Philip DeFranco, who said in last video that a lot of people were feeling forced to use Google Plus. This revamp of the comments section does seem like a not-so-veiled effort to make G+ more relevant to social media users.

PROS:

It organizes conversations in a way that the larger content creators can follow conversation threads easily. You can limit visibility of comments. Can sort comments either by Top Comments or Newest Comments. Can post video links. Can edit comments. Takes away some anonymity, which will hopefully tamper down cyber bullying and trolling.

CONS:

Unlimited commenting space, as some YouTube users were showing, this is not necessarily a good thing. If you post a comment and then do not post to Google+, people's ability to interact with that comment (replies and thumbs up) is disabled. Can comment from YouTube and G+, which means if you wanted to keep YouTube separate, or if you only wanted comments to stay within the community, that will disappear. Can't also reply on comments.

This is just preliminary as the rollout is barely 48 hours old. The longer it's in use the more the bugs and changes will become apparent. Maybe YouTube has finally repaired its comments section.

Now subscription boxes, is a whole other story.
