Amazon is at it again with this “One-Day Kindle Deals: 20% off Kindle tablets” page , which provides customers a deep 20% discount sale on various Kindle tablets, without needing a special promotional code to get the discount.
The sale is for today only, Monday, December 9, 2013, and that means you can find the Kindle Fire HDX 7", HDX Display, Wi-Fi, 16 GB – (which includes Special Offers) for $183.20 as of this writing, instead of the normal $229 list price.
The $69 Kindle is as low as $56, and the Kindle Fire HD 16GB is not $169, but $136 today, until the sell out. The last time Amazon provided a deep discount sale on Kindle tablets like this, they sold out, so bookmark the above link and check it to see if they are still in stock when you read this article.
For those who caught Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos’ 60 Minutes interview – the same one that got largely out-shadowed by talk of the 30 minutes or less delivery drone from Amazon Prime Air, you’ll note that Bezos talked about selling the Kindles at cost (quite a thin margin, they joked) in order to make the long-term monies on the sale of the content the devices provide.
“Complaining is not a strategy,” said Bezos, a man who many look to as a thought leader across many industries, not just the online retail space. If you’re searching for a good Christmas gift to buy a bunch of folks, now is the time to plop as many of those 20% Kindle devices into your shopping cart as Amazon will allow.
