This page with Wii U consoles for sale on Amazon shows plenty of consoles available as of this writing, like a Wii U deluxe set with the new Super Mario Brothers U and the new Super Luigi U going for $348.99 – or the Nintendo Wii U console 32GB black deluxe set for $369.99 – or even the basic 8GB Nintendo Wii U console in white for $324.95.

Amazon even has the Skylanders SWAP Force Nintendo Wii U bundle for $329.00, and more decorating that page today – Saturday, December 7, 2013, a good 18 days until Christmas.

It won’t be that way for long, predicts gaming expert firms like Rakuten, Inc., which is a Japanese online retailing company focused on e-commerce that’s based in Tokyo, Japan. According to Time , the retailer says it expects Wii U to become more popular than PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this holiday – at least with children, which is the caveat pointed out in the midst of the hubbub.

Pundits may disagree with the assertion, but others concur, citing shortages of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles that could drive the sales of the Wii U to astronomical levels, especially since the Wii U purportedly has better games, and is geared toward a younger subset of the demographic that the holiday is usually focused around.

So parents may do well to get those Wii U consoles while they’re still available, seeing as though the Xbox One consoles in stock on Amazon that were made available yesterday have quickly sold out.
