Apple has finally released its latest iOS update, which attempts to add fixes to not only the original iOS 8, but this week's iOS 8.0.1 update which bricked many devices - users reported being unable to use their cellular network and Touch ID on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
The update also fixes a bug with HealthKit, which now enables those apps to be available in the App Store.
There was also an issue with third party keyboard apps, where the keyboard would be unavailable when a users enters a passcode, that was also addressed.
Additional fixes include:
- Fixes an issue that prevented some apps from accessing photos from the Photo Library
- Improves the reliability of the Reachability feature on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
- Fixes an issue that could cause unexpected cellular data usage when receiving SMS/MMS messages
- Better support of Ask to Buy for Family Sharing for in-app purchases
- Fixes an issue where ringtones were sometimes not restored from iCloud backups
- Fixes a bug that prevented uploading photos and videos from Safari
We've recently updated an iPhone 6 Plus and iPad mini that have so far worked as expected with the latest update. We will report any additional information, should any issues arise.
