You have seen many Gerber Gear products in this column over the years. Why should it be any different now.

A couple of Gerber Gear newbies came in the mail the other day;

The Vital Pocket folder (featuring exchange-a-blade) The Multi-plier 600 bladeless

First of all, lets go with the common features; It’s a Gerber, They will both probably outlast you, they are beyond tough.

The Vital pocket folder has incorporated a technology not found (at time of writing) in any other folder knife, unless you can use the box cutter blades. The blades are easily replaceable by snapping them in and out. Once one is done, put it on the bottom of the pile in the included plastic safety case and install a new blade. It’s just that simple. It is a lock back with a thumb opener that can be made left or right handed with ease. The included pocket clip keeps it handy when needed.

Then Multi-Plier 600 bladeless. Is basically a supped up version of other pliers put together with the exception of NOT having a knife. It has a saw (RemGrit removable type) as well a regular file. Other tools are standard, including screwdrivers (three flatheads), pliers, can and bottle openers and scissors.

There is nothing like a good set of multi tools and knifes to fill a tool box, shed, tackle box, etc. Fill them with the best at www.gerbergear.com .
