Amazon is coming right after Google and Roku in yet another way, with the release of the new Fire TV Stick, which is an HDMI-based device that will bring all sorts of apps, games and more to any HDTV.

The device, which begins shipping on November 19, will retail for just $39, but current Amazon Prime members can get it for $19 for two days.

Fire TV Stick features a 1GB of RAM, dual Wi-Fi antenna, 8GB of storage and Amazon says it has 50% more processing power than Google Chromecast. The device will deliver content from Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, WatchESPN, NBA Game Time, Twitch, SHOWTIME ANYTIME, Prime Music, Spotify, Pandora, Vevo, Plex, A&E, PBS, PBS KIDS, WATCH Disney Channel, YouTube.com, and more.

Fire TV Stick features 1080P HD video, Dolby Digital Plus Surround Sound and includes a remote control so that a smartphone isn't necessary to control content, as is the case with Chromecast (Roku has a controller too). There is a free TV remote app however, that also features voice search for Android phones, though an iPhone version is not yet available but coming soon, according to Amazon.
