The constantly expanding popularity of the Internet is leading many people to drop their “nine-to-five” jobs and head off to foreign lands, and Fiverr is leading the way. A recent report on the Huffington Post only hours ago on January 22, 2015 provides five useful tips for living a nomadic existence, traveling abroad, and living out of a suitcase. And working on Fiverr was rated #1.
This is the dream of millions of people of all nationalities, to no longer be chained to a “brick and mortar” job. And according to the news report, sites like Fiverr and Elance “provide tons of freelancing opportunities” that can easily turn this dream into a reality. Starting a freelance career while still working at a traditional place of employment is a great way to save extra travel cash while also building an online business that can be transported to any location in the world with Internet access.
And the Huffington Post is not the only news agency that agrees. Just the day before on January 21, 2015, the music industry website Hypebot listed a freelancing career with Fiverr, Elance, or Guru as one of the top six jobs for touring musicians. Traveling bandmates can take their work on the tour bus and complete their tasks whenever they have downtime while commuting from city to city, even in the wee hours of the morning after a late night concert.
Freelancing online is growing at a tremendous rate in recent years as many people are looking for more personal freedom and perhaps even some additional financial security. Even the major companies today are outsourcing a greater portion of their work to freelancers, leading many in the job market to wonder about the longevity of their current position of employment. Freelancing through sites like Fiverr helps people to take charge of their own financial fate and maybe even see a bit more of the world at the same time.
