The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) always brings with it a plethora of new tech announcements and innovations, and CES 2015 has been no different. From new 4K HDTVs being announced, to powerful, new tablets, there is a lot to love about the show this year.

Jumping into the fray has been Razer, as they like to make a fairly significant impact each year. Today, Razer announced a new wearable that works with your smartphone to enhance the user experience. This device is called the Nabu X and is available at half the price of the already released Nabu , the latter of which is currently sold out on the RazerStore.

If you are wondering what the difference between the two devices are, Razer reckons the main difference with the Nabu X is it doesn't have the OLED screen that displays notification previews, like the Nabu has. At the same time, the Nabu X does have LED light indicators that the Nabu does not have.

The two devices share similar features like steps, calories and distance tracking, in addition to sleep tracking, a vibration motor, band-to-band communication, third party apps integration and more. The Nabu retails at $99.99, while the Nabu X will retail at $49.99 when it goes on sale Jan. 13. For "qualified fans at Razer's Insider forums," they will be able to purchase the Nabu X at a discounted price of $19.99.

Min-Liang Tan, who is the co-founder and CEO of Razer, provided some insights into the benefits the new Nabu X will bring to consumers on Jan. 13. "The greatest barriers to entry for new technology are price and complexity, and we’ve eliminated both of those with the Razer Nabu X. We’ve taken what makes the Nabu such a compelling wearable – discreet notifications, activity tracking and band-to-band communication – and incorporated them into the Nabu X. It’s the basic alternative to the Nabu that’s extremely affordable and simple to use," Tan said.

The Nabu X can be paired to connect with iOS and Android smartphones. Again, if you wish to try and pick up the new device at the discounted price, sign-up to become a Razer Insider and find more information here . The Nabu X will be released on Jan. 13.
