At today's ' Spring Forward ' event in San Francisco, Apple unveiled more information about the highly-anticipated Apple Watch.
One of the biggest questions leading up to the event were about the battery life of the Apple Watch, which Apple finally discussed. Users can expect up to 18 hours of battery life, though obviously it will come down to how the watch is being used, as well as settings, etc.
The watch also has a built-in mic to allow for users to answer calls, as well as bring up Siri, while also being water resistant. It is rated at IPX7, which means it's fine for washing your hands or being in the rain, but not strong enough to jump into the swimming pool with.
Apple also shared pricing details for the watch, with Apple Watch Sport starting at $349 for the 38mm version and $399 for the 42mm one. Apple Watch (made of stainless steel) starts at $549 for the smaller one and can go up to $1049, depending on the band chosen.
Finally the Apple Edition, which is made of 18k gold, starts at $10,000 and can go all the way up to a wallet crushing $17,000.
We already knew that the Apple Watch connects to an iPhone using Bluetooth, but because it also uses Wi-Fi, the watch doesn't need to be within Bluetooth range of a phone to work, so you can be just about anywhere in a house and still have connectivity.
There will be an Apple Watch store that is accessible through the iPhone, while iOS 8.2, which is available today and includes support for Apple Watch (along with the app), is required.
According to Apple, pre-orders begin on April 10 and the watches will ship on April 24.
